Advice

It figures that right after I wrote about feeling better I started throwing up daily. I should have known. Now I need your advice, ladies. My main concern is not being able to keep/intake enough fluids on a daily basis. I cannot handle juices at this point. I cannot drink a lot of water (makes me feel nauseated). So, my options are very slim at the moment.

I have been having daily headaches and I suspect those are due to dehydration. Normally, I love drinking water. I used to drink at least 32-40 ounces of water daily plus other liquids. So you can understand how frustrated I feel now that I cannot even keep 8 ounces of water.

So, ladies, I am ready for any help I can get at this point. I would so appreciate any advice you can share with me.

have you tried any of the minty bottled water at the grocery stores? Metro Mint tastes good, a bit expensive ($1/bottle) but might help. I always loved watermelon when pregnant, it soothed my stomach and should hydrate you too and it’s in season :)

Olga, first of all Congratulations on your pregnancy! How exciting! I am sorry you feel so cruddy right now. During the months I did not feel well in both my pregnancies, I could not drink a lot either. I found that I could drink some Ginger Ale and Lemonade. Ginger Ale is supposed to help with the nausea. Hope this helps.

Hello! Wish I knew more about this, but I do know how it is to feel sick all the time due to my stomach problems…one thing that I did was to drink Ensure Plus, which is like the weight gain version and has a whole bunch of nutrients in it. It might still make you feel icky but the good thing is that it didn’t take much of it to get the nutrients in me…
