Better Recognize

My home girl, Natasha, totally rocked today’s round of America’s Next Top Model. You go girl! Not only was she called first at eliminations and termed most positive, but she also made Jay say, “You know, there is a reason those Russians take gold.” Yeah-huh. Despite some strange dialogue she exchanged with her 40+ year old husband on the phone, I am still very proud to see her blossom in this competition.

I can actually relate to her feeling like an outsider, but I think this week she has proven that she is a force to be reckoned with. Like any Russian woman. So, watch out America, she just might win. And even if she doesn’t, she is doing a fine job representing.

Another sad night on American Idol though. Sanjaya stays. As does his freakishly frightening hair that has taken on a life of its own. And Haley keeps landing in the bottom three, but won’t go home. Such is life though — a wild fauxhawk of semi-talented people whose looks take them unreasonably farther than the talent/looks equilibrium should allow.
