Feeling Better
Tuesday July 8, 2008 | 2 comments
I have now entered into the second trimester. I still can’t really wrap my mind around that, but here I am. My nausea has cleared up, for the most part, and I haven’t thrown up in a couple of weeks. All in all, I think I am beginning to feel better. I still feel tired most of the time, but at least I can now do grocery shopping and even cook! Imagine that.
I feel like I am in an awkward phase right now—I am not really showing yet (I still fit into most of my regular clothes), I am not throwing up, I don’t have severe nausea, and I certainly haven’t felt the baby move yet. So, I am anxiously waiting for our next week’s appointment so we can listen to the baby’s heart beat.
We should find out baby’s gender in 5-6 weeks. I absolutely can’t wait. We are having a hard time picking out names, so I am hoping knowing the gender will help us. I am looking forward to doing some shopping for the baby once we know if it’s a boy or a girl. For the time being though, I am definitely nesting—this is very strange given that I am not that far along. Today I was washing walls and organizing. Craziness!

I remember the first trimester as doing nothing more than working and sleeping. It took me until about week 15-16 before I got some energy back, but not much. I’ve had more energy until the last week or so and it starting to fade again.
Nesting big time too. I’ve been getting a ton of stuff done but anxiously awaiting Andrew to quit his second job because his honey-do list is getting very big! :)
Kristin: I know exactly what you mean. Nathan has been helping me a lot, but he won’t have a lot of time on his hands once school starts back in August. So, I am trying to get as much as I can done before then.
