Girl, Uninterrupted

I finally went shopping for new clothes and shoes this weekend. Having taken stock of my present wardrobe, I determined I desperately needed an upgrade. Nathan was kind enough to drop me off at such bargain meccas as TJ Maxx and Target, leaving me be in a world of my own.
I tell you, nothing brightens a day like roaming free, uninterrupted through a store filled with discounted clothing items. I swear I touched every knit top, dress, sweater, blouse, skirt, every pair of pants and shoes. Every item got some love. When it was all said and done, I walked away with two pairs of shoes and a few other much needed things, like a new dress.
One of the newly acquired shoe pairs is my absolute favorite. I make up excuses to go outside, just so I can put them on. Whether it’s taking out the trash or cleaning out the patio, the shoes are on. If I weren’t such a neat freak, I would never take them off and use them as my inside and outside shoes. That’s how much I like them and I am sure you can see why.
This is my second pair of Dollhouse shoes, and I am only getting started. These shoes are most elegant, spunky, fun, cute and comfortable. And that’s a rare combination. I’ve owned shoes that are cute, but not comfortable and vice versa, so now that I have found this secret “potion,” I’m sticking to it.
Another pick-me-upper this week came in the form of a voted-off American Idol contestant. You know the one. No, he won’t be missed. No, the show is not going to be boring without him. And yes, it was about time! Oh, and my girl Natasha won the challenge on America’s Next Top Model. She has truly grown a lot throughout the competition and is now, according to Tyra herself, a real threat to the other girls. Watch out, y’all, this misunderstood Russian woman might just kick some butt.
