House

Well folks, Nathan and I are finally all moved into our very new, very first and very own home. It took a lot more research, work, sweat, and tears than we originally anticipated, but we got here by God’s grace. I must say that once we worked through mountains of paperwork all written in a language even lawyers can’t make sense of, our home buying experience seemed to go quicker and easier.

We are both exhausted and excited beyond words. We spent the last three nights in our new house and I still can’t really believe it’s ours. The reality hasn’t caught up with me yet, but I am sure it will hit me soon. After eight months of not having a microwave, washer/dryer, and dish washer a house with all these appliances and more seems heavenly.

I can’t stop smiling. I don’t think I’ve been this excited in a long time. My absolute favorite thing to do is work in the yard—we have some beautiful flowers out there and I have started planting herbs and such. If it weren’t for this ungodly Texas heat, I would spend all my time doing yard work. I LOVE it!

I would attach pictures, but our stuff has exploded all over the place and it ain’t pretty. So, as soon as I clean it all up I will take some pics of our fabulous new home. And, hopefully, I will be back on this blog on a more regular basis now that I have a little more time.

I told Nathan congrats, but I’ll say it here also. Congrats!!

At least you shouldn’t have to worry about your former next door neighbour’s alarm clock anymore. :)

    Blessings.

Thanks guys! It has been an incredible experience all around. We are both so thankful to have our own place finally. Nathan worked really hard—he is the man! Oh, and it’s taking a while to get used to silence—no footsteps above your head or loud obnoxious alarm clocks at ungodly hours of the night.

Congrats, Olga. Technology is great in that it can reconnect people after such a long time!!! Enjoy your first house and have fun with all the work you will put into it. What a blessing. Kevin and I have already had 2 houses together!!!

And why may I ask do you look at Baby Names sites? :-)

Oh my sweet Heidi! You are right about the work that needs to be put into the house. Some of it I really look forward to and then there are other things that are not so pleasant. Oh, and the baby names—that’s for our future babies-to-be, gotta keep up with the trends!
