It's Called Shitzu For a Reason

I think I have finally solved the mystery of dog poop in our front yard. For a couple of weeks now we have been finding small piles here and there—by the mailbox, on the front lawn, on the side of the house.
While I realize that poop is a natural part of life, it’s frustrating to have to deal with, especially when you don’t own any poop producing creatures. Well, at least not ones that produce animal poop (and let me tell you, piles of poop left in 100+ degree weather are not pretty to see, smell or touch…warm, ooye-gooye doesn’t even begin to describe it).
Today I saw a neighbor walking her, well, you guessed it, Shitzu. The dog roamed freely in our front yard, obviously very familiar with its surroundings. I have heard this particular neighbor walking around the neighborhood before, but never actually saw her little pet. And now I know what’s been leaving presents all over the place (I have owned that size dog before, so believe me, I am 100% certain I have the right perpetrator).
Another dead give-away—the lady didn’t have a plastic bag in hand to pick up after her beloved Shitzu. And any reasonable adult in their right mind knows that after a long day indoors a dog is bound to drop some dung while taking a walk outside. Obviously the neighbor lady and I will have some poopy business to discuss.
UPDATE: Husband has successfully convinced the aforementioned dog owner to not have her dog soil our yard anymore. I believe his exact words were, “HEY! Don’t let your dog poop in our yard, we don’t appreciate it, okay?”

That’s right, I had to lay down the law. :)
Way to go. You know I have been on a walk with my dogs and forgotten a bag and then had to go home get a bag and go back to someones house to pick up dog poo because I felt so bad. Now I have them trained to go before we leave on our walk and they won’t poop on the sidewalk so I taught them “sidewalk” as a command so they won’t even go in peoples yards to be tempted. I can’t imagine just leaving poop in someones yard and more than once. The nerve!
Laura: Yeah, I always thought it’s common courtesy to pick up after their pets, but I guess I was wrong. So far I have not found any more poop in our yard and I am hoping it will stay that way. Go Nathan!
