Late Night Craving

We were going to Tom Thumb’s for cookies and milk. But I really could not help myself, I had to peek into the bakery department. My feet carried me there practically against my will. I have always had a weakness for sweet pastries, what can I say? I am my father’s daughter. This time I got really lucky though.

Me: “Is this what I think it is?”
Husband: “Yep.”
Me: “Really?”
Husband: “Uh-huh.”
Me: “Wow.”
Husband: “Yep, it’s one giant Danish.”
Me: “I have to have it.”
Husband: “Yeah, I know. I’ll get cookies for me. And, maybe, if I am lucky, I can have a bite of the Danish.”
Me: ”?”
Husband: “Well, the bite that you allow me to have, the one you deem worthy, of course.”
Me: “I guess.”

That seems entirely reasonable. You get the large Danish, and therefore it is yours. If you deem him worthy of a small bite, then that is entirely up to you. He does, after all, have cookies.

How ARE you? Do you have a baby in the oven?? What are you doing these days? How do you like Texas?

I am good, very good. I’ll write more later – since I am at work now.

Faye: We are doing well, thanks. There is no baby in the oven. Not yet, anyway. Settling into life here has taken a while. I am still working on it!
