Mid-life Crisis

I am considering a career in the paralegal field. I guess that’s what happens when you become prisoner to your apartment in the big city. Somebody give me some advice and some good talking-to before I jump off into another huge pile of books and testing materials! Seriously though, my hope for a counseling job is growing dimmer by the minute which, in and of itself, is really frustrating. So, if you have any paralegal/legal assistant/legal secretary/karate instructor experience, I would love to hear from you!

I actually did a mentorship in Family Law and took a semester of paralegal classes in college. At the time I thought it was too boring so I quit and changed focus. Lately I’ve thought, why did I quit? I don’t think I realized at the time that ALL jobs are boring, that is just what working full time is like. I’d be interested to know what you find out related to the time and effort involved in going back to school for something like that….

I am so sorry to see that the counseling route is not working out for you. I will be praying that the right job comes your way!
