On the Road Again

Heading out to see my little sister-in-law graduate from high school. Can’t wait to spend time with the fam. It’s been far too long. I might just stay there…indefinitely. Not that life here is bad, but job search is not going where I would like it to. In fact, it’s really not going anywhere at all, which can get frustrating quickly. And it’s not good for the mood.
Surprisingly, I am even looking forward to flying. Probably because I won’t have to be by myself and because I get to bring my baby with me ~ Nikon D40. So, look for new pics here soon. Oh, almost forgot, we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and there were grown men there dressed up as pirates. Grown men. Dressed up. As pirates.
At first we thought the theater hired them to hang out there, as it was the premier night and all. A sorry excuse, I know, but my brain is simply too small to contain the idea that these people actually dressed like that because they wanted to, not because someone paid them a lot of money to do it. Soon enough though my senses had to make an allowance for just such a possibility: apparently there are grown men in this world who do choose to dress up as pirates. Voluntarily.
Another highlight of the week was a dental appointment cancellation due to an “accident” in their office. My husband instructed me to make sure and ask, what sort of accident it was, when I called back to reschedule. “I hope it wasn’t like someone dying in the chair while getting their teeth cleaned,” he said and because that totally made sense I decided to ask before I rescheduled our teeth-cleaning procedures.
Turns out it was just a naughty truck that rammed through their office over the Memorial Day weekend. I know, I couldn’t believe that either, but I guess this is a Texas way to celebrate a holiday.

I hope I run into you and your man and the family while we’re there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m sad about your job situation but I was amazed at your pirate story. I wish I would see stuff here like that!!!!
We are praying for you about your job search…wish we could help :-(
I LOVED the book you leant me and read it in 2 days last weekend!
Jenny: Thanks for prayers. I am so glad you liked that book. I have another one by that same author and I can lend it to you, if you want. We should get together again soon!
Hi! I’m so glad you and Nathan got to come home for the graduation! Your plants you put in the planters are doing well, and I miss you both already!
I know what you mean about the pirates. We actually had one older man at the Pullman Theaters dressed up waiting outside 3 hours prior to it opening. I thought it was pretty wierd!
