Sickly

I’ve been run over by a truck and I can’t get back up. At least that’s how I have felt for the past couple of weeks. I am no longer taking Vicodin (I know paying customers all over DFW are thankful since I won’t be throwing up at a table near them), but I am still inhaling and swallowing a flurry of medications that don’t seem to do much.

My doctor wants me to get a CT scan, plus some blood work and, for some odd reason, I don’t like the sound of that. It makes me feel really old and broken (although, some would argues that I am, in fact, really old). I have been really healthy up until this winter, with some minor glitches here and there, and it’s really difficult for me to acknowledge that no one, including my very educated doctor, knows what the heck is going on.

I have a hunch though—I suspect Texas and I are not getting along. It is wreaking havoc on my sinuses and my brain. One good thing about all this—B12 shots! I have had to beg my doctor to give me one and I really love the effects. It’s much like a shot of caffeine or an adrenaline punch in the heart, only a hundred times better. I know I’ll be going back for more.

Oh Olga, I am so sorry. Is it the ragweed?? I have a friend down here that gets totally WIPED OUT from that stuff. I’m so, so sorry. I will be praying for your healing. I’ve enjoyed your blog of course…so glad you had a nice time with your in-laws! My mother-in-law came and we too had a very lovely time! Blessings and healing to you lady!!

Niki: Thank you so much for your prayers. I feel a lot better these days, but I still have to get a CT scan and some blood work to determine the reason for my sickly state. I am trusting God will help me settling into Texas.
