Still Here

I haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth just yet. My parents are still here and we are still having a grand time despite a few setbacks (mom’s bad knee and dad’s cold). All in all it’s been a wonderfully exhausting visit but I am not ready to drop them off at the airport just yet. Time has flown by too quickly.
Dad’s been fixing up the house and among his wonderful projects were: a new faucet in the kitchen, two new light fixtures, a newly repaired window sill, new garage storage, and a flurry of other small yet very significant projects around the house. Mom has made curtains for our kitchen and bedroom. I am eternally grateful.
In return for their hard work I’ve been feeding them home-cooked meals around the clock, including my oh-so-special cinnamon rolls which I have made twice so far (might have to make them once more before they skip town). I’m quite fat and happy these days. Life’s been unbelievably good lately.
