Thirty...

…days until I come back to Boise, ID. Excited. I am going to try to sqeeze in a trip to a foreign country before then. To get that travel bug out of my system.

In other news, my good ol’ friend is visiting from Sweden. I have not seen her in three-four years. Good times. She is going to cut my hair and hold my hand while I get my ears pierced. Because I am a big baby.

Artificial Intelligence

My parents and I are on the way out the door:

“Dad, you shouldn’t wear white socks with black pants.”

“Ok.”

“I’ll send you a pack of nice black socks, some new shirts, and deodorant.”

“Just send me new artificial armpits that don’t sweat. That’d be way better.”


On My Mind

The temperatures have been falling, drastically and mercilessly. It seems that it got a hundred degrees colder practically overnight. As I was walking to work today, which, by the way, is the only time I take walks outside these days, my scalp nearly froze off.

I know it is difficult for you to imagine me with no scalp. Unfortunately, I am unable to paint a more poignant verbal picture since my brain is still thawing out. Check in later.

Nightmare

At breakfast my mother told me she heard me scream earlier.

“You screamed da-aaaa-aad in this really irritated tone.”

“No mom. That was the kids downstairs. You know how they yell all the time.”

“They yell da-aaaa-aad in your voice?”

“Uh-huh.”


Cinnamon...Herring

We had a visit from our wonderful and long-time friends this weekend. It was great to catch up and to spend time together. I got to translate the seminar they put on about generosity of Jesus. Good times.

Being good friends, they brought a little present for our family, as good friends do. And, being from Norway, the land of the fish, they gave us none other than well…fish. A whole big bucket of it. We love fish. A lot. So we were all eager to get into the present.
