Better Recognize

My home girl, Natasha, totally rocked today’s round of America’s Next Top Model. You go girl! Not only was she called first at eliminations and termed most positive, but she also made Jay say, “You know, there is a reason those Russians take gold.” Yeah-huh. Despite some strange dialogue she exchanged with her 40+ year old husband on the phone, I am still very proud to see her blossom in this competition.

Twenty-seven Facts

Here are a few things you may not know about me:

1. I am Russian,
2. even though I was born in Estonia. Go figure.
3. I am an only child (that’s what’s wrong with me).
4. When I was much younger, I could not take public transportation due to severe motion sickness.
5. I love roller-coasters,
6. but I am afraid of heights.
7. If I could, I would do away with mornings forever and have my days start sometime in leisurely mid-afternoon.
8. Caffeine makes me happy. Any day.
9. Too much caffeine makes me high, and I am not even kidding.
10. I will never own cats. Ever.

Travel

I decided to update my travel map today. Thirty six states down, fourteen more to go. It’s good for goal setting, which my naturally obsessive and competitive personality demands. Another cross-country move should take care of that. My European map is not doing so hot though. That’s the one I need to work on a bit more.

Remote Contol Personality

Last night I had an “aha” moment of sorts, while watching TV. Since husband was not feeling well, we vegged out in front of the tube, catching all our favorite shows. We are not yet blessed with a TiVo, so we suffer through commercials. Husband hates commercials with a passion. I am not a big fan either, but I try to maximize my time by changing channels once my favorite show is interrupted by a commercial. Yep. I am one of those people.

Coffee Tasting

Our wonderful friends Christian and Jenny took us to the Dallas Museum of Art this weekend. It was fantastically fabulous. We visited several galleries, including Matisse, Modern Art, Indian, African and Chinese, to name just a few. It was wonderful to be with friends exploring new depths and heights of this great metropolis that is Dallas.
